In the first three quarters of 2010, Foton Motor sold a total of 520,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 16.7%. Among them, Foton sold 408,000 light trucks (including micro-cards), an increase of 13.5% year-on-year; medium- and heavy-duty trucks achieved sales of 81,000 vehicles, an increase of 37.3% year-on-year. In addition, in the first three quarters of the year, Futian achieved 23,653 auto exports, an increase of 35.1% year-on-year. The export volume in the first three quarters was close to the full-year level last year.

It is understood that in 2010, the top ten automotive brands in Futian were fully developed and Foton Aoling Light Trucks achieved sales of 45,000 units from January to September 2010, a year-on-year increase of 66%. The Olympic Bell brand is the core strategic business of Foton Motors, and it is positioned in the mid- to high-end light truck market. It is an upgraded product that integrates Europe's leading technologies on the basis of traditional Japanese light truck technology and forms an alternative to the low-end market and traditional Japanese products. The Auman heavy trucks, Omar light trucks and European V passenger cars for the new energy market have achieved outstanding results in their respective market segments.

The core of the competition in the global automotive market is still technology and products, especially to enter the high-end market, technology and products must have breakthroughs. Cooperation with international auto giants undoubtedly provides a strong guarantee for Futian’s global strategy. In June 2010, Foton Motors and Cummins signed an agreement for the development of European and European VI technology for ISF series engines in Beijing, which is one grade higher than the current European emission standards. This has created conditions for Futian to explore the international market. In July, Foton Motor and Daimler signed a "Joint Venture Contract", and the two sides established a truck joint venture in China in the form of reciprocal funding. Different from the previous introduction of heavyweight models for Sino-foreign joint ventures, the future joint venture’s vehicle products will use Futian Auman’s own brand.

With the rapid development of the automotive industry, in the highly competitive light truck market, the old mid- to low-end products have been difficult to fully meet the market demand, and each car company has accelerated the pace of product upgrading, and the trend of high-end light trucks is gradually becoming apparent. .
