Four major projects surfaced to fully activate the Shenzhen automobile carrier

As the leading economic region of China, Shenzhen does not want to miss the bustling auto market. The reporter recently learned that following BYD's repairs, the passenger van project in Shenzhen has also officially entered the implementation phase. Shenzhen is building another important motor vehicle production base.
This year, there are four automotive industry projects being planned and nurtured by the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Planning Bureau, both of which have been included in this year's major construction project plan. Among the four automobile projects, the new production bases of BYD Auto and Hafei Automobile are expected to settle in Shenzhen, and two other projects have surfaced.

The beginning of commercial vehicle projects

It is understood that in recent days, the CIMC heavy machinery eastern factory in Shenzhen has built 4 semi-trailer production lines with domestic advanced level in only 3 months, and realized the first-phase construction of 15,000 semi-trailers with annual designed production capacity. The target is currently in the trial production phase.

The factory covers an area of 240,000 square meters. It mainly produces various kinds of semi-trailers, modified cars and special vehicles. The semi-trailer has already used the VOLVO tractor head and can reach a speed of 110 kilometers per hour. In fact, as early as last year's Shenzhen Stock Exchange, CIMC Heavy Machinery decided to invest 400 million yuan to establish a semi-trailer manufacturing base in Pingshan Town, Longgang.

At the same time, the luxury bus project of Shenzhen Wuzhoulong Industrial Development Co., Ltd. has been put into production. After the completion of the second phase of the project, it will reach an annual production capacity of 10,000 luxury buses. The output value is expected to be approximately RMB 5 billion. In addition, the company's hybrid electric power bus industrialization project has completed prototype development and trial production, and will soon be put into trial operation.

Car project is under development

In addition, BYD's mid- to high-end automobile production base project has a total investment of 1 billion yuan in Shenzhen. After it is completed and put into operation, it will form an annual production capacity of 100,000 mid-to-high-end cars, and the output value is expected to reach 10.4 billion yuan. According to relevant sources of the company, the construction of the Shenzhen production base has started. However, this person refused to disclose the details of the car downline. It is understood that BYD Auto’s marketing headquarters has now moved to Shenzhen. At the same time, the R&D headquarters in Shanghai will also be relocated to Shenzhen.

The Hafei Motor Co., Ltd. has set up a production base in Shenzhen and is working on its preliminary work. The relevant personnel of Hafei had earlier told this reporter that they are investigating Shenzhen and Shaanxi on the new production base and will have results in the near future. According to the industry, due to the favorable conditions offered by Shenzhen and the huge sales market in South China, it is more likely that the new Hafei base will be located in Shenzhen. On the other hand, the person in charge of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation said that foreign car financing is also expected to be injected into Shenzhen this year to achieve local production of foreign car brands in Shenzhen.

Passengers and trucks are going offline this year

In fact, as early as the end of last year, Li Hongzhong, mayor of Shenzhen at the time, said that Shenzhen should make use of the advantages of a large port in South China, a relatively plentiful financial position, and geographical advantages to engage in export-oriented auto industry. Shenzhen plans to use 10 square kilometers to 30 square kilometers of industrial land outside the customs for the production of medium and high-grade cars and special vehicles.

From the current analysis, Shenzhen will form the layout of two major commercial vehicles and two large car production bases this year, while passengers and trucks will go offline this year. According to relevant persons from the Shenzhen Municipal Development Planning Bureau, the goal of Shenzhen is to strive to make the automobile industry an important pillar industry of Shenzhen's economy after 5 to 10 years of hard work, making Shenzhen one of the country’s major R&D and production bases for automobiles and spare parts. .
