According to Shanxi Chemical's “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†development strategy, Shanxi will serve as a new energy and coal chemical base, and coal-to-oil production of 1 million tons/year, 300,000 tons/year of tar processing and crude benzene processing and utilization will start one after another. In the investment structure of chemical projects, equipment investment accounts for more than 20%, and equipment investment in coal-to-oil projects accounts for more than 30%. In the development of coal chemical industry in Shanxi alone, an equipment market of 35 billion yuan will be generated. Under this background, the construction of a large-scale non-standard equipment manufacturing base in Shanxi coal chemical industry will usher in a rare opportunity for development.
At present, the inspection and evidence collection and preliminary design of the base construction project have been completed in March this year and have been reported to the Shanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission for filing. The base construction will adopt a scheme with incremental stocks and step-by-step implementation. The first phase of the project plans to invest 350 million yuan. The construction content includes the establishment of a heavy chemical equipment manufacturing branch, the establishment of a specialized branch of stainless steel and special materials equipment, and the establishment of environmental protection equipment. It specializes in the manufacture of branch factories, the establishment of chemical accessories manufacturing branches, the establishment of professional chemical equipment transportation, installation, maintenance, and technical service teams, the addition of advanced, highly efficient, energy-saving processing equipment, and the improvement of advanced and reliable inspection equipment and perfect warehousing facilities.
The base construction project is planned to be completed and put into production by the end of 2008. By that time, the province's production of chemical equipment and chemical equipment will reach 100,000 tons, sales revenue will exceed 2 billion yuan, and profits and taxes will reach 350 million yuan.
