The incorrect connection of the teeth is mostly due to the large difference between the actual center distance of the worm wheel set and the design number. However, the actual center size gap is too large or the center line is not perpendicular to the manufacturer, and there are also improper installation and adjustment of the site.
When the steam turbine is running, the center line of the worm should be located in the central plane of the worm gear teeth. When the turbine is stopped, the coloring check worm wheel can be correctly placed at this position.
In the coloring inspection, the working face of the worm gear should have more than 57 contact areas and be uniform. If the contact area is insufficient or the one side is colored, it means that the position of the worm wheel is to be adjusted.
