China's auto and parts exports are increasing year by year

Through the introduction of technology, digestion and absorption, continuous innovation, joint venture and cooperation with multinational corporations, localization has been achieved, supporting a variety of models, not only satisfying the needs of the domestic market, but also some automobile and component products have entered the international market, China's automobile and The export of parts and components is increasing year by year. In 2003, China’s total exports of automobiles and parts and components reached US$4.71 billion, an increase of 34.4%, of which automobiles (including spare parts) exported 400 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 64.3%; parts and components exports were 4.13 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 32.1%. There are more than 100 countries, of which 14 have exported more than US$100 million.

The export potential of traditional products is large, and a number of products have occupied an important position in the world. Traditional products such as car stereos, automobile tires, engine parts, etc., with the continuous improvement of the technical level and product quality, and the continuous enrichment of varieties, still have great export potential in the international market. A number of products such as automotive electronics, brakes, aluminum wheels, automotive wiring harnesses, constant velocity joints, brake pads, etc., have occupied an important position in the world.

The export of complete vehicles and auto parts products with high technological content and high added value has increased significantly. In recent years, China's entire vehicle has begun to move toward the international market, has certain international competitiveness in the areas of heavy-duty trucks, micro-cars, and buses, and can export to developing countries in large quantities. In recent years, a small number of cars began to be exported in bulk. In 2003, a total of 2,849 cars were exported, an increase of 194% from the previous year. At the same time, automobile and parts products have gradually shifted from labor-intensive and resource-intensive products to products with higher technological content and higher added value. Exports of goods with high technological content and high added value have increased significantly, and export commodity structure is gradually becoming reasonable. Direction adjustment.

The ability of enterprises to expand their markets has been greatly enhanced, and some companies have entered a multinational procurement system. In the process of global economic integration, autos and parts companies have fully utilized China's comparative advantages and found a convergence with the international automotive industry's technology and business. For example, Wanxiang Group directly acquired a company in the United States and set up a dedicated US marketing agency. Some companies have stepped into the multinational global procurement network.

Major breakthroughs were made in exports to major markets. Asia, North America, and Europe are the three major export markets for China's auto and auto parts exports. The proportions of the three regions in 2003 were 42.5%, 34.3%, and 13.1%, respectively. The three major markets accounted for 90% of China's total exports of automobiles and components. At the same time, our country has also achieved success in the development of some emerging markets such as the Middle East, South America, and Africa. The share of exports to Africa, South America, and Oceania also rose to 4.4%, 3.4%, and 2.4%, respectively.
