The third factory of the sedan has four major processes of stamping, welding, painting and final assembly. The Nanfang Daily reporter saw at the factory site that the stamping shop uses a world-class high-speed Speedbar automatic transmission system, automated robot demolition, application of magnetic delamination, and optical intermediate medium-advanced technology. The welding shop adopts advanced international semiconductor laser welding, high-speed rolling machines, laser on-line inspection and other advanced technologies and equipment, making it the fastest production line, highest productivity, and most advanced welding production line in China. The paint shop has adopted the world's first water-based paintless coating process for the first time in the country and is environmentally friendly. It also practices the concept of a green factory while improving efficiency. The assembly shop production line uses an advanced h-type planning layout, which shortens the logistics distance and also makes the extension of the production line more flexible. The workshop adopts international advanced electromagnetic driven self-suspension spreader, self-adaptive lifting skid technology, automatic assembly and tightening technology, and can realize flexible production of multi-platform and multi-modules.

It is understood that the construction of the 300,000 units of Phase III and Phase III of the sedan will be completed. Currently, the 3rd and 4th phase of the project has been started. The final production capacity is expected to reach 450,000 by 2013.

Saturn NCS plans to start production of 250,000 cars per year, which will solve the current capacity shortage issue of FAW-Volkswagen's Changchun base. According to the plan, the future three cars will be able to produce A0, A, B, hybrid and four-wheel drive cars. Currently planning to produce Sagitar NCS and Jetta NF two products. FAW-Volkswagen is extremely optimistic about the new Sagitar's future market performance, with a planned annual production capacity of 250,000 vehicles.
