This paper introduces some situations of antimony ore beneficiation at home and abroad, points out some problems existing in the ore dressing of antimony ore in China, and puts forward some shallow views on the advantages of China's antimony ore beneficiation technology .

The article introduces the comments made by E. Oberbillg in the 1960s on some of the world's antimony ore dressings; The production situation of different types of antimony ore beneficiation plants abroad is exemplified.

China's antimony ore resources are the most abundant, and the development and utilization is the earliest. The antimony ore dressing has a long history.

At present, the characteristics of the ore dressing process in China are as follows:

1 The flotation of antimony sulfide ore is carried out under natural pH conditions. The activator is lead nitrate. With butyl xanthate collector, or butyl xanthate + + coal oil shale oil, butyl xanthate diethyldithiocarbamate + + + shale oil, kerosene, and other drugs butylammonium black, and the like recently replaced with isopropyl xanthate The test of Dinghuang was also very successful. The foaming agent is pine oil, and the test results of replacing the pine oil with glyceryl oil are also good.

2 Mixed antimony ore beneficiation, using re-election + flotation combined process, three-stage jigging to obtain coarse-grained antimony concentrate (including antimony sulfide and antimony oxide), tailings after grinding and classification into flotation, floating out of antimony sulfide concentrate The tailings are further shaken into the fine-grained cerium oxide.

3 Most of them belong to the ore dressing. The sheet metal is usually mixed and floated. It is a mixed gold concentrate. The laboratory test of sheet metal separation is quite successful, but there are still problems in production.

4 heavy medium sorting In the ore beneficiation, some waste rock was discarded in advance, which improved the grade of ore selected, replaced the manual operation and improved labor productivity. The production practice proved very successful.

5 branch flotation method for the antimony ore flotation of the medicinal herbs, arsenic removal, improve the sorting index test results are very significant, Dinghuang medicinal amount decreased from 800 g / ton to 320 g / ton, bismuth concentrate containing arsenic from 3% It decreased to 0.59% from left to right, and the grade and recovery rate of antimony concentrate were 59.76% and 92.82%, respectively.

The flotation of yttrium oxide ore was studied in the 1960s and 1970s, but it has not yet been fundamentally broken.

The main problems currently existing in ore beneficiation in China are:

1 The flotation medium of antimony sulfide ore has not been adjusted well, resulting in a large amount of flotation reagents. The average annual dose of Dinghuang in individual plants is as high as 921 g/t.

2 Antimony concentrate has high arsenic content. Except for tin mine and Zhaxixi, the content of arsenic in other ore concentrates is higher than the quality standard, and some arsenic is as high as 3%.

3 The beneficiation problem of strontium oxide ore has not been fundamentally solved. The bismuth oxide ore in the northern part of the tin mine accounts for 10% to 50% of the strontium minerals, and the total recovery rate is only about 78%, mainly due to the low recovery rate of strontium oxide ore.

4 The recovery rate of the beneficiation is low. Except for the recovery rate of a few factories such as the tin mine southern plant, the recycling rate is above 85%, and most of the plants are around 85% or lower.

5 The widespread use of lead nitrate as an activator, and a large amount of lead, lead to high lead content in the antimony concentrate, affecting product quality.

6 The problem of sheet metal separation has not been completely solved, so we have to choose a sheet metal mixed concentrate, which makes the smelting process complicated and costly.

7 There are problems in the management of production technology, resulting in high ore dressing costs, low technical indicators, and large waste of resources.

For the above problems, the author's point of view is:

1 The Central South Institute of Mining and Metallurgy uses weak acid pulp, selective collector, branch flotation or branch-stream flotation new process for arsenic-containing antimony sulfide ore to reduce the flotation agent dosage and improve the grade and recovery rate of antimony concentrate. It is worthwhile to promote the successful experience of reducing the arsenic content of antimony concentrate and achieving significant benefits.

2 Using the fragile antimony ore, the compressive strength of quartz is 5 times larger than that of stibnite, and the selective grinding and fine screening and sorting techniques are carried out, which may further simplify the beneficiation process and lower the cost.

3 Conducting research on strontium oxide ore dressing, searching for its special effect collector, studying its electrochemical properties, and discussing the effective processes and methods for treating it.

4 Study the lead ore activator that replaces lead ions to solve the high lead content of strontium concentrate, the impact on smelting and public hazards.

5 Study the symbiotic state of sheet metal and solve the problem of sheet metal separation.

6 Vigorously promote the successful experience of tin mining, flotation and flotation (collector + auxiliary collector) and heavy waste separation of artificial waste.

7 Strengthen technical management to ensure the use of technological advantages.

8 From a long-term perspective, research on the basic characteristics and flotation behavior of various antimony minerals should be carried out to study new beneficiation processes, processes and prescriptions suitable for the characteristics of antimony ore. In order to make the best use of China's antimony resources, and give play to the technical advantages of antimony ore dressing in China.
