The announcement stated that it is planned to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Jiangsu Huachang Chemical (Shuishui) Co., Ltd., to invest in a new fertilizer project of 1 million tons/year in the Xuexing Chemical Concentration Zone in Yishui County. The project is planned to be implemented in two phases. The first phase will be constructed at 600,000 tons/year. It is expected to be completed within one year and will realize an operating income of 1.34 billion yuan. The first phase of production will be followed by the second phase of expansion and production will be completed within two years. It is expected that the overall operating income will be realized. According to the feasibility study report disclosed by Huachang Chemical , the total investment for the project approval was over 400 million yuan, of which construction investment was 357 million yuan. In 2011, Huachang Chemical achieved total operating revenue of 4.122 billion yuan and net profit of 80.13 million yuan. In the first quarter of 2012, net profit was 6.62 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 24.7%; total operating revenue was 957 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.13%.
