On April 28, the HW18710T full synchronizer high-torque gearbox, independently developed by Dazhe Co., Ltd., rolled off the assembly line at the Grand Tooth Assembly Plant. After successfully passing both bench and static torsion tests, it was sent to China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corporation for a full-scale road test. This milestone marks the company's capability in manufacturing large gears and ensures the timely delivery of Iranian export vehicles. On March 6, General Manager Cai Dong of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corporation chaired the "Transmission R&D Conference," urging Big Tooth Company to fully develop the HW18710T full synchronizer gearbox according to the specific needs of the Iranian market. The goal was to deliver the product to the Group before May 10th. Five prototypes were prepared for loading verification, and the company aimed to establish batch production by the end of May to meet the scheduled delivery requirements for Iran. In line with the strategic direction from China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corporation, Big Tooth Company quickly formed the HW18710T Full Synchronizer Gearbox Development Leadership Team led by General Manager Wu Zhenghe. A project kick-off meeting was held immediately, setting clear technical, process, quality, and timeline requirements. The technical center, engineering manufacturing department, equipment department, production department, production preparation workshops, and new product workshops all worked efficiently, overcoming challenges and demonstrating a strong spirit of perseverance and hard work. The entire design process took just 16 days, while the transition from process planning to manufacturing took 36 days. By April 28, the prototype had already passed the bench test. However, the journey wasn’t without obstacles. Engineers and technicians used their expertise to solve multiple technical issues during the next round of bench testing. By May 12, all tests were successfully completed, and the results met the technical design specifications. The successful trial production of the HW18710T full synchronizer gearbox not only fulfilled the R&D tasks assigned by China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corporation but also set a new record for fast product development at Big Tooth. It reflects the company’s commitment to the scientific concept of development and its ability to deliver under pressure. This achievement is a testament to the team’s dedication, innovation, and determination to meet challenging goals.
