Oaseya builds joint venture carbon black project in Zaozhuang

China Drying Network OCI (Korea) and Shandong Zaozhuang Mining Group Co., Ltd. recently formed a joint venture in Shandong Oaseya Jianyang Carbon Black Company and will build an annual production of 200,000 tons carbon black project. The registered capital of this joint venture is 61 million U.S. dollars, of which 55% is held by South Korea and 49% by China. The carbon black plant was built in the Xuecheng Economic Development Zone, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, and occupies an area of ​​approximately 120 acres, using the production technology of South Korea's Oaseya.

The project will be constructed in two phases. The first phase of the project will have a total investment of US$98 million. Three production lines will be built, including two 40,000 tons of hard carbon black production lines and one soft carbon black production line with an annual output of 40,000 tons. The total annual production capacity will reach 120,000 tons, and it is expected to start production in October 2015.

Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company has more than 30 years of carbon black production history. The company has two carbon black factories in Korea with an annual production capacity of approximately 270,000 tons. The company's business scope includes polysilicon, solar energy, LED sapphire, inorganic chemicals, oil refining and coal chemicals, fine chemicals, and thermal insulation and energy-saving products.
