Butterfly valves in the high-performance anti-corrosion series play a special role in various industrial applications. Designed for durability and efficiency, these valves feature a two-piece stemless pin connection, offering a simple and compact structure that makes maintenance and disassembly extremely easy—allowing for quick removal without complex tools. The disc is equipped with automatic alignment capabilities (both vertically and horizontally), ensuring precise positioning between the disc and the seat, which results in minimal interference and improved sealing performance.
The valve uses a tongue groove seat design, ensuring accurate and secure connections between the valve body, seat, and disc. This also allows for easy replacement of the seat when needed, reducing downtime and maintenance costs. One of the key features is the use of the world’s most advanced spherical seal, which provides a more reliable and long-lasting seal. Due to its spherical design, the valve operates smoothly during opening and closing, significantly reducing friction and torque. This means users can opt for low-power actuators, lowering overall costs while also extending the life of the valve seat by up to 3 to 4 times compared to standard centerline butterfly valves.
The seat flange has a wide-brimmed, large arc structure, making it fully compatible with both flanged and welded connections. It can be easily connected to any standard flange, offering greater flexibility in installation. Additionally, the valve stem is equipped with an axial positioning device, using a combination of two pads, an open-loop ring, and a spring clamp. This not only prevents accidental disassembly but also helps distribute axial forces, preventing the weight of the stem from transferring to the butterfly plate.
The stem seal is designed for two-way protection—preventing foreign substances from entering the system and ensuring no media leakage occurs. A sleeve supports the stem and further reduces the opening and closing torque. Users can choose between two types of bushings: bronze for lubrication or Teflon for low-friction operation, depending on their specific application needs.
Unlike conventional midline butterfly valves, this design eliminates the need for a separate seat backrest, enhancing the overall structural strength of the valve. As a result, it can achieve a nominal pressure rating of up to 20 kg, which is typically beyond the capability of standard midline valves. This makes it ideal for high-pressure and corrosive environments where reliability and performance are critical.
