New generation of highly selective methanol cracking catalyst was successfully developed

According to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, on June 4th, an expert from the Shanxi Provincial Science and Technology Department organized an evaluation of the “Development of a new generation of highly selective methanol cracking catalyst” project at the Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The expert committee of the appraisal unanimously believed that compared with the existing commercial catalysts, the new-generation methanol cracking catalyst has the advantages of high selectivity and ease of use, and the catalytic performance index has reached the domestic leading level, and it is recommended to accelerate the application of technology.

After more than three years of research and development, the project has used the impregnation method to magnify and prepare a hundred kilograms of samples on the basis of the optimization conditions for the small test, and conducted an industrial single-tube simulation test, and achieved satisfactory results. The catalyst preparation process is simple, the copper content of the active component is greatly reduced, and it can be directly used without using hydrogen prereduction treatment before use; the catalytic methanol cracking has high selectivity (>98%), and the catalytic performance is completely recovered after regeneration. ,reusable.
