Optimized tools for longer life
The new design of the metal tip ensures optimum strength when cutting hard, wear-resistant materials, such as penetration into the front when penetrating a hard asphalt concrete layer. In order to ensure the longest service life, the steel body is specially heat treated to optimize its hardness.
The bottom surface of the gasket has a clear chamfering structure, which can effectively transmit the shearing force generated during the cutting process. The use of this construction reduces the amount of milling between the seat and the gasket, ensuring longer toolholder life.
The two-way limit tension bushing specially developed by the Wirtgen brand also extends the service life of the tool holder. The optimized two-way limit stop points limit the axial displacement of the tool in the tool holder to a very small range.
