Bush lifts administrative ban on offshore oil exploitation

U.S. President Bush stated on the 14th that as an initiative to deal with high oil prices, he has lifted the administrative ban on oil extraction in the United States. He also urged Congress to adopt similar measures to abolish the relevant mining law ban.
At the White House press conference on the same day, Bush said that the price of gasoline is steadily rising, and that it is now possible to extract more "offshore" oil on the side of the National Assembly. He emphasized that Americans are paying a price for high oil prices and that Congress must act. "No response will be unacceptable."
U.S. oil reserves are abundant, but many offshore oil fields have long been banned from mining. There are two related bans. One is the administrative ban issued by the U.S. government and the other is the parliamentary legal ban. Only two bans have been cancelled and oil companies can extract oil from these fields.
