Systems without measuring feedback devices are called open loop systems.
The advanced servo system adopts digital servo drive technology. The servo drive and numerical control device generally use bus to connect. The feedback signal is connected with the servo drive in most occasions, and is transmitted to the numerical control device through the bus. Only in a few occasions or when the analog-controlled servo drive is used, the feedback device needs to be directly connected with the numerical control device. Servo motor built-in pulse encoders, resolvers, induction synchronizers, tachometers, gratings, and magnetic rulers are common detection devices for NC machines.
