Yangzi Petrochemical Coal Gasification Project officially started

The Yangzi Petrochemical coal gasification project officially started. According to the plan, the project will annually produce 250,000 tons of carbon monoxide, 83,900 tons of oxo-syngas and 42,564 tons of hydrogen. The Yangzi Petrochemical use technology is a new coal gasification technology developed by Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd. and East China University of Science and Technology. It is a single-nozzle, cold-walled, pulverized coal pressurized gasification technology. Sinopec Group Company decided to establish a “SE Pulverized Coal Gasification Technology” pulverized coal gasification demonstration device at Yangzi Petrochemical to explore the coal chemical technology, realize the transformation of experimental technology to large industrial installations, obtain application experience, and promote the technology industry. Application will lay a good technical foundation for the next step in the development of Sinopec's coal chemical industry.
