A major fire erupted last night at approximately 6 PM at the Echo Lake Foods facility located at 33102 South Honey Lake Road in Burlington, WI. The facility, which processes a variety of egg-based products, including precooked meals, waffles, pancakes, and crepes, spans across six interconnected buildings. Fire Chief Richard Lodle held a press conference at 5 AM, stating that the fire was still active and uncontained. Over 80 fire departments and more than 200 firefighters from across southeastern Wisconsin, including areas as distant as Milwaukee County, were called in to assist the Burlington Fire Department.
