The Matteson Fire Department responded to a house fire on Princeton Street at 946 this morning. When the alarm went out, units were already engaged on other emergencies and immediately requested mutual aid. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames coming from the second floor of the two-story home. The incident was quickly upgraded to a Box Alarm. Fire companies from Matteson, Frankfort, Tinley Park, Park Forest, Flossmoor, Richton Park, Crete FPD, Chicago Heights, Oak Forest, and Country Club Hills arrived on scene to assist.
