The Matteson Fire Department responded to a house fire late this morning at 946 Princeton Avenue. When the call came in, responding units were already occupied with other emergencies and immediately requested mutual aid. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames coming from the second floor of the two-story home. The incident was quickly upgraded to a Box Alarm. Firefighters from Matteson, Frankfort, Tinley Park, Park Forest, Flossmoor, Richton Park, Crete FPD, Chicago Heights, Oak Forest, and Country Club Hills arrived on scene to assist.
