Box alarm in Plainfield, 6/12/15

The following is an account of what I witnessed earlier today during a fire incident in Plainfield. It happened along the Lincoln Highway (Route 30), just south of Renwick Road. As far as the departments involved, I noticed Lockport and Elwood were present with their respective apparatus. The Elwood tower ladder was actively engaged, while Plainfield’s own fire trucks were also on the scene. Naperville Engine 6 joined in as well, but there were a few other units that I couldn’t quite identify due to the chaos. This is what I observed: --- **[Photo Description]** *Fire Engine Hooked Up to Hydrant* This image captures a fire engine connected to a hydrant, clearly preparing for an intense firefighting operation. Thanks again to Andy Hilk for providing these valuable photos. --- It was an intense situation, but seeing everyone come together made it clear how vital teamwork is in moments like these. I hope the fire department managed to control the situation quickly and safely. Andy Hilk
