1. **Pre-Operation Testing:** Check if all connections are tight. Manually rotate the rotor to ensure smooth movement without any unusual noise or resistance. This helps identify any foreign objects, misalignment, or improper seal installation. Ensure the seal chamber is clean and filled with about half of its volume with No. 20 lubricating oil. Keep the pump unit clean and perform a no-load test before starting.
2. **Manual Start:** For the first-time use, slightly open the outlet valve, start the motor, and gradually increase pressure while confirming that the pump operates smoothly.
3. **Operational Checks:** During normal operation (with frequency conversion), regularly check and record ammeter, voltmeter, vacuum gauge, pressure gauge, and flow meter readings. Monitor vibration, noise, and temperature rise. Ensure the shaft seal does not show significant fuel leakage.
4. **Normal Shutdown:** Close the discharge valve, let the pump run under light load, then turn off the motor.
5. **Emergency Stop Conditions:**
- Abnormal motor current or strange noises from the pump.
- Unusual readings on the inlet vacuum or outlet pressure gauges, excessive vibration, or a drop in performance.
- Unusual odors from the motor, fuel leakage at the shaft seal, or bearing temperatures exceeding 75°C.

1. Every 500 hours of operation, loosen the screw plug on the sealing seat and use a syringe to remove residual oil. Refill the sealed chamber with qualified No. 20 oil up to half its volume. Tighten the plug securely to prevent leaks.
2. If motor noise increases or bearing temperature rises abnormally, inspect the motor bearings. Replace the grease if it becomes discolored or dirty.
3. If oil leakage is detected at the sealing seat, loosen the plug and run the pump. If aviation fuel is present, the mechanical seal may be faulty. Immediately replace the seal to avoid further damage.
4. **Mechanical Seal Replacement Steps:**
- Prepare a clean workspace and necessary tools. Avoid placing parts randomly to prevent damage.
- Before disassembly, ensure the motor is powered off. Remove the fuel filler plug and suction out the lubricant using a straw.
- Disassemble the coupling by removing the hexagon socket cap screws and gently pulling one half of the coupling off the shaft. Loosen the pump shaft bolts and let the impeller sink slowly.
- Remove the other coupling and take out the pump shaft.
- Disassemble the sealing seat by loosening the compression nut and carefully removing the seat without damaging the rubber seal.
- Clean the bearing seat, remove the bearings, and lubricate them with jet fuel before reinstallation.
- Remove the mechanical seal by lifting the spring and pulling the pump shaft.
- Reassemble the mechanical seal by applying a thin layer of No. 20 oil on the static and dynamic rings. Install the stationary ring and position the moving ring properly.
- Reinstall the sealing seat, ensuring the rubber seal is intact. Tighten the compression nut.
- Reattach the coupling, install the retaining ring, and secure the coupling with bolts. Lift the shaft slightly to apply proper pre-stress.
- Finally, test the pump to confirm the mechanical seal is correctly installed and the pump runs smoothly.
