Hey everyone,
This message comes from Brad Steinweg, who just shared some details about an incident that happened in Schererville. On September 13, 2018, they responded to a fire near the intersection of US-30 and US-41 at El Salto. It was quite serious, requiring a full-scale response. In addition to Schererville's efforts, both Lake Hills and St. John sent their teams over to assist. One interesting detail is that Lake Hills brought out their Roto Ray, which is not something we typically see around here.
Here’s what Brad had to say:
> "Schererville responded to a fire at El Salto at the intersection of US-30 & US-41 on 9/13/18. A full still was called and Lake Hills and St. John assisted. Something to note is the Roto Ray on the Lake Hills engine as it’s something rarely seen around here."
I’ve attached several photos taken by Brad Steinweg below. They really capture the intensity and teamwork involved during such situations. You can see Schererville’s fire trucks in action, along with some incredible shots of the firefighters working hard on the scene. There’s also a great image of a Seagrave fire engine and a detailed look at one of Lake Hills' engines.
Take a moment to check out these images—they truly show the dedication and skill of our local emergency responders.
Stay safe,
