Early Tuesday morning (February 27, 2018), Wheeling firefighters responded to a report of a house fire at 30 Schoenbeck Road. Upon arrival, the first responding engine noticed a small amount of smoke near the rear of the property. Investigating further, they discovered that a section of the wooden deck at the back of the house was ablaze. Thanks to their swift action, the fire was brought under control almost immediately, preventing any damage to the main structure of the home.
