On January 9, 2015, a three-alarm fire broke out at 2519 Harrison Street in Evanston. At the time, workers were inside the home. As the fire raged for several hours, an emergency Mayday alert was sounded for an Evanston firefighter. Fortunately, he was quickly rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment.
