On Monday night, January 28, 2019, the Palatine Fire Department responded to multiple calls about a house fire at 635 E. Thornhill Drive. As units were en route, a visible header was spotted, prompting an immediate upgrade to a Code 4 Working Fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed flames spreading along the exterior of the home in the B-sector. Thanks to quick action, the fire was contained and extinguished with minimal damage inside the structure.
A total of several Palatine fire companies arrived on scene, along with an engine from Arlington Heights and a Buffalo Grove ambulance. The response was well-coordinated, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
