As seen around … Berwyn

Here's a message from Jeff Braun Jr. under the "County-Wide Fire Photography" series:

I was driving by Widaman Sign Co. in Berwyn when I spotted a mid-90s E-One pumper sitting in their side lot. Upon closer inspection, it seems this unit is currently being restored at the company. I'm not exactly sure if the work is complete, but the apparatus is labeled "Brownell and Sons Motorsports" with no other fire department markings. I’m hoping someone from the Chicago Area Fire community might be able to help identify which department this truck originally belonged to, as well as what its current purpose is. Thanks for any information you can share!

It’s always interesting to see how retired fire apparatus finds new life—whether it’s repurposed for events, used in displays, or simply given a second chance. If you have any leads or information about this specific truck, feel free to reach out. The more we know, the better we can preserve our fire history.

OIL-WATER SEPARATOR
