New engine for the Hazel Crest Fire Department

I just saw this update on the Hazel Crest IAFF Local #4087 Facebook page—it’s exciting news for the department! They’ve recently taken delivery of their brand-new Spartan fire engine, which will be Engine 27 once it’s fully equipped. According to the post, it should be ready for service within the next 30 to 45 days after they finish adding the final touches like lettering, tools, and hoses. And get this—just one year from now, they’ll be receiving their brand-new 107-foot aerial ladder truck, which will become Truck 27. That’s some serious firepower being added to the fleet! The photos shared by the Hazel Crest FD really showcase how sharp this new engine looks. You can tell they’re proud of it, and honestly, it’s a testament to the dedication and investment the community has made in its first responders. These images give you a great sense of the vehicle's design, from its sleek lines to the thoughtful layout that firefighters need to do their jobs effectively. It’s clear that every detail was considered to ensure safety and efficiency. It’s always inspiring to see departments upgrade their equipment, especially when it comes to something as critical as firefighting vehicles. I’m sure this Spartan model is packed with the latest technology to keep the crew safe and enhance their operational capabilities. Plus, having an aerial ladder truck on top of this engine is going to make a huge difference in terms of coverage and response times. Thanks to Martin for sharing these photos! They really capture the excitement surrounding this addition to the Hazel Crest FD. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out their page for more updates. It’s great to see such progress happening in our local emergency services.
