The training opportunities continue at the **O’Hare Modernization Property** in Bensenville, where firefighters from across the United States and several international countries gathered to participate in a specialized Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) training program. This intensive 40-hour course, led by RICOFIRERESCUE, Inc., was founded by Lt. Mike Mason of the Downers Grove Fire Department. The training featured three different structures, each set up with unique scenarios to simulate real-life emergency conditions.
Throughout the week, participants practiced critical rescue techniques, including navigating through smoke-filled environments, breaching walls, and rescuing trapped individuals. On the final day, the scenario involved a firefighter, "Captain Black," who became trapped after a floor collapse.
