On Thursday, a Metra train passenger noticed a body tangled in branches and debris along the Des Plaines River near Belmont and River Road. The discovery prompted an immediate response from the River Grove Fire Department, which confirmed the need for a formal recovery operation. Due to the strong current caused by recent flooding, MABAS Division 20 called upon divers from MABAS Division 3 to assist with the swift water rescue.
